NearList privacy policy

NearList is made by A2Techify LLC. NearList works without an account, server, or cloud backend. This policy is also published at https://nearlist-a2techify.web.app/privacy.

Data NearList uses

Shopping item names and optional notes you enter
Store names, coordinates, and reminder radii you save
Precise and background device location, used only to detect when you enter or leave a saved store area
Local reminder state used to avoid duplicate alerts during one store visit

How data is handled

NearList collects location data to enable store arrival reminders even when the app is closed or not in use. Location is compared only against the store areas you save. This processing happens on your device.

All NearList data is stored on your device. NearList does not transmit shopping lists, store locations, or location history to A2Techify or anyone else, and it does not sell or share data. The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.

The operating system may process location and notification information as part of its standard platform services. App-store distribution and device services remain subject to Apple's or Google's own privacy terms.

Permissions

Location (precise, and "Allow all the time") — detects arrival at a saved store area so NearList can show your list at the right moment. Before the system prompt, NearList explains this use in the app.
Notifications — shows the on-device store reminder.

You can revoke either permission at any time in system settings. The shopping list keeps working without them; only nearby reminders stop.

Data retention and deletion

Purchased items remain on your device as history so NearList can suggest the right store when you add an item again. In Settings inside the app you can:

delete an individual saved store and its items,
clear purchase history, or
delete all NearList data.

Uninstalling the app also removes its data from your device. Because A2Techify never receives your data, there is nothing stored on our side to delete.

Children

NearList is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the address above with a new effective date.
